The 5th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Agro-products Fair was held in Langfang, Hebei Province on Oct. 31, 2020, drawing more than 60 buyers from across the country and 142 suppliers from 68 counties, county-level cities and city districts in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. They brought to the fair nearly a thousand high-quality specialty agro-products including grains, oil, fruits, vegetables and aquatic products. Altogether, deals worth of RMB 320 million were signed up at the fair.
The fair was jointly hosted by agriculture and rural affairs authorities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Chinese Agri-produce Marketing Association (CHAMA), under the guidance of MARA’s Department of Market and Informatization. With a focus on docking the production and marketing of local agro-products, the fair was designed to serve as a regional platform for internal communication and external demonstration of agricultural industries. It was organized to support high-quality specialty agro-products from poverty-stricken areas in their efforts to move up the value chain and build up their brands, offer more food choices to local people, and achieve complementarities and mutual benefits for agri-businesses within the region.
Various activities were organized at the fair, including trade talks, signing ceremonies and promotional events.
